What makes us so impressed with this electric fat bike? It’s not just the powerful 750W Bafang rear hub motor or the long-lasting 720 Wh integrated battery. Aventon packed the Aventure.2 with features that are still rare in its class.
For instance, it boasts a torque sensor. This provides a more natural riding feel and improves battery efficiency, meaning you can ride further on a single charge without needing a bulky battery. Aventon also added a full-color LCD display, durable metal fenders, a complete Shimano Altus drivetrain, and reliable Tektro hydraulic brakes.
The Aventure.2 is simply a joy to ride. Its handling is responsive yet comfortable, suitable for various terrains from city streets to off-road trails. Despite being a bit heavy, it performs surprisingly well on multi-use paths and even OHV roads.
Adding to its appeal, the Aventure.2 comes in both step-over and step-through frame styles, and offers a range of attractive colors, setting it apart from many basic black or white fat bikes.
Out of the box, the Aventure.2 is a Class 2 e-bike. However, it can be easily upgraded to Class 3 via the Aventon app, unlocking pedal-assisted speeds up to 28 mph. In head-to-head tests against its main rivals, the Aventure.2 consistently delivers outstanding performance, comfort, and overall value.
In conclusion, we are big fans of the Aventon Aventure.2. Until another electric bicycle fat bike truly surpasses it, the Aventure.2 holds its position as the best fat tire electric bike of 2025.
