Our team recently joined Sam Balto and the Alameda Bike bus on their morning route. Meeting near Wilshire Park, the group steadily grew as it progressed, picking up students and parents along the way. The convergence of multiple groups at NE Alameda and Klickitat was impressive, culminating in a massive, curb-to-curb procession of young cyclists as they approached Alameda Elementary on NE 27th. This visual testament to the bike bus’s popularity underscores its impact on the Alameda community and its potential for replication elsewhere.
