It happened on a day any cyclist dreads – a flat tire, and miles away from home. As I wrestled with my roadside tube replacement, a local cyclist emerged from his house, pump in hand. Little did I know, this chance encounter was about to introduce me to what I now consider the Best Bike Floor Pump I’ve ever used, and completely transform my tire inflation experience.
From the very first strokes, pumping air into my tire, I was astonished. It was, without exaggeration, the most enjoyable bike pumping experience in my cycling history. For five years now, this pump has been a daily staple in our household (my wife is an avid cyclist with latex tubes, so it gets a lot of use!). The pump head is truly exceptional, easily comparable to my high-end Silca pump heads. In fact, the only reason I still use my Silca heads at all is because their narrow profile is necessary for our disc wheel’s valve cutout, allowing for hands-free inflation. However, for every other bike in our fleet and all other inflation needs, this pump and its integrated head are my go-to.
