Discover Bike Park: Your Guide to Mountain Biking Fun

Are you curious about mountain biking and looking for the perfect place to start your adventure? Discover Bike Park offers an exhilarating experience for riders of all skill levels, especially those new to the sport. Our flow-style trails are designed to help you elevate your downhill skills in a fun and supportive environment. With optional features like walls, bridges, jumps, and drops, you can challenge yourself as much as you’re comfortable, always having the choice to keep your wheels firmly on the ground. If you’re completely new to mountain biking, we recommend getting some practice on cross-country trails first to build your confidence on two wheels.

Is Disco Bike Park Suitable for Beginners?

Absolutely! Disco Bike Park is specifically designed to be welcoming to newcomers to mountain biking. Our flow trails are smooth and predictable, making them ideal for building confidence and skills. While we have exciting features like walls, bridges, jumps, and drops, these are all optional. This means you can gradually progress at your own pace, choosing to ride over or around obstacles as you become more comfortable. For those who are brand new to biking, it’s a great idea to spend some time on cross-country trails initially to get a feel for riding off-road before heading to the bike park. Disco Bike Park provides a safe and encouraging space to discover the joy of mountain biking.

Bike and Gear Rentals at Disco Bike Park

Don’t have your own full suspension mountain bike or helmet? No problem! Disco Bike Park has you covered with a fleet of high-quality rental bikes. We feature acclaimed Transition Patrol bikes in frame sizes ranging from Medium to X-Large, ensuring a comfortable fit for most adults. We also offer full-face helmet rentals for added safety and peace of mind. To guarantee your rental is ready when you arrive, please book online in advance. We do not offer in-person rental reservations at the park, so online booking is essential.

Essential Equipment for Your Ride

To make the most of your experience at Disco Bike Park, we recommend riding a full-suspension mountain bike equipped with disc brakes. This type of bike is designed to handle the demands of downhill trails and provide a smoother, more controlled ride. For your safety, closed-toe shoes and a mountain bike style helmet are mandatory. While a full-face helmet isn’t required, it is highly recommended for enhanced protection. Gloves, pads, and guards are optional, but many riders find them beneficial for added comfort and safety.

Enhance Your Skills with Mountain Biking Lessons

Looking to improve your mountain biking technique? Take advantage of our expert instructors available on Saturdays! We offer lessons in 1-hour increments, starting at 11 am or 1 pm. For just $30 per time slot, you can receive personalized guidance from a professional instructor. Whether you prefer a one-on-one session or want to learn with a small group of friends of similar ability, our lessons are tailored to help you progress. Booking a lesson is a fantastic way to boost your confidence and take your riding to the next level.

Lift Access and Trail Options

At Disco Bike Park, you have choices! While our lift service provides easy access to the top of the trails, you are not obligated to use it. If you prefer a more traditional uphill challenge, you can pedal up the mountain and access all the trails for a reduced rate of only $10. This option is perfect for riders looking for a workout or who simply enjoy the climb. If you’re unsure about committing to a full day of downhill riding, you can also purchase a single lift ride for just $20 to test the waters and see if downhill biking is for you.

Family Fun: Mountain Biking for Kids

Disco Bike Park is a fantastic destination for families! We encourage kids aged 7 and up to come and experience the thrill of mountain biking. As always, helmets are required for all riders, including children. For younger children who are still learning to ride, we’ve recently added a pump track near our base area. This pump track is ideal for little ones on Strider bikes or pedal bikes, providing a safe and fun environment to develop their balance and bike handling skills. Bring the whole family and discover the joy of biking together!

Plan Your Visit: Opening Hours and Season

Disco MTB Park is open seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, weather permitting. Our operating hours are Fridays from 1 pm to 7 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. Prepare for Your Trip: Food, Water, and Amenities

When visiting Disco Bike Park, it’s important to come prepared. We are a rustic bike park, meaning we have limited amenities. Please bring your own snacks and plenty of water to stay hydrated and energized throughout your ride. We do provide a porta-potty for your convenience. Planning ahead with food and water will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable day at the park.
