Join Us for a Family Bike Ride and Explore Chandler’s Paseo Trail

Get ready for a fantastic community event! Mayor Kevin Hartke and the Chandler community invite you to Bike A Ride through the scenic Paseo Trail at the 17th Annual Chandler Family Bike Ride. This April, celebrate Valley Bike Month with a fun, accessible 7.8-mile ride perfect for all ages and cycling abilities.

Event Highlights You Won’t Want to Miss

This isn’t just a bike ride; it’s a whole morning of fun! Every participant in the Family Bike Ride receives a free commemorative T-shirt, while supplies last. You can also enjoy light refreshments and learn valuable information about bicycle safety and Chandler’s transit services from various vendor booths.

Chandler Family Bike Ride Schedule

  • 7:30 a.m.: Activities and Vendor Booths Open
    Start your morning early! Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., giving you plenty of time to explore the exciting vendor booths focused on all things cycling safety and enjoyment. Don’t miss the bike decorating station where you can personalize your bike, helmet, and other gear. Free face painting will also be available to add to the festive atmosphere before you bike a ride.

  • 8:30 a.m.: Guided 7.8-Mile Ride Commences
    The Chandler Police Bike Team will guide participants as the 7.8-mile ride begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. The route heads north along the beautiful Paseo Canal towards Tibshraeny Park before returning to the starting point. After completing your bike ride, cool down and celebrate your achievement with a complimentary Kona Ice treat.

Participate Virtually: Bike a Ride Anywhere!

Can’t make it to the Paseo Trail on event day? No problem! You can still participate in the Family Bike Ride virtually from April 5th to 13th. Bike a ride in your own neighborhood, a local park, or any favorite cycling spot with your friends and family. Virtual riders who pre-register are also eligible to receive a free event T-shirt, while supplies last, ensuring everyone can join in the fun of Valley Bike Month.

Registration Details for the Family Bike Ride

Pre-registration is required for all participants. While we encourage fun and creativity, safety is our main concern. Helmets are mandatory for all riders. We also ask that everyone obey all traffic laws and remember to stay hydrated throughout your bike ride.
