Often called “bicycles built for two,” tandem bikes provide a comfortable and engaging cycling experience unlike riding solo. Imagine cruising along Boston’s scenic paths, sharing the effort and the views side-by-side!
Just like all bike rentals from us, your tandem bike rental comes equipped with a bike lock and helmets for your safety and convenience.
Please note that tandem bikes are ideally suited for adults and are not recommended for children. For families with younger children, we offer trail-a-bikes that can be easily attached to our city bikes, ensuring everyone can join in the fun. You can add a trail-a-bike to your booking when you rent a city bike from us.
Pick up your tandem bike rental anytime during our operating hours on your selected booking date and start your Boston adventure! Kindly remember that bike returns are not possible outside of our shop’s opening hours.
For extended tandem bike rentals of 24 hours or more, we offer a delivery service for a fee of $50 each way. Please contact us at 617-670-0637 at least 48 hours in advance to check delivery availability and make arrangements prior to completing your booking.
Please be aware that all rental bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE. However, we understand plans can change, so we offer the flexibility to reschedule your rental date for a $25 rebooking fee per rider. Should you need to cancel your tandem bike rental altogether, you will receive a credit which can be used towards future rentals or tours with us.
Rental Agreement and Liability:
We kindly ask that you treat our tandem bikes with the same care you would your own. As the renter, you are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the rented tandem bike and associated equipment. Upon return, every bike undergoes a detailed inspection by our team. Customers will be charged for any damage identified during this inspection process. Additionally, a cleaning fee of $50 may be applied if the tandem bike is returned in an unreasonably dirty condition, at the discretion of Urban Adventours. The rental period officially begins when you pick up the equipment and concludes upon its return to our shop during opening hours. We do not provide storage for rented equipment outside of the rental period. Returning rental items outside of our operating hours will incur an additional fee of $100.
