We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, making it easy for you to bring your bike in whenever it fits your schedule. Simply visit our shop during our business hours – no prior appointment necessary.

The check-in process is quick and straightforward. Our friendly staff will efficiently gather your essential contact information and take brief notes regarding the type of service your bike requires. This initial step helps us understand your needs and allows us to prepare for the service efficiently.

Personalized Service Consultation with Experienced Mechanics

Within 24 to 48 hours of dropping off your bike, one of our skilled mechanics will reach out to you, Monday through Friday, during our regular shop hours. This personalized approach ensures that your specific concerns and needs are addressed directly.

The mechanic will thoroughly discuss your bike service requirements, providing a detailed explanation of any necessary repairs. You’ll receive a clear breakdown of estimated costs, and we will work with you to propose a service schedule that suits your timeline. Preparing Your Bike for Service Drop-off

To ensure the safety of your accessories and to streamline the service process, we kindly ask that you remove any items that could be easily lost or damaged while your bike is in our care. Before dropping off your bike at Montlake Bike Shop, please detach accessories such as water bottles, bags, bike locks, lights, and any other detachable items. This simple step helps prevent any potential issues and ensures a smoother service experience.

Important Montlake Bike Shop Service Policies

Please note a few important policies regarding bike servicing at Montlake Bike Shop. We provide a 3-day grace period for picking up your serviced bike. Bikes left beyond 3 days will be subject to a storage fee of $8 per day. Additionally, we specialize in servicing e-bikes equipped with Bosch or Specialized motors. Finally, all repair labor quotes are calculated based on the time required to complete the service, with our shop labor rate set at $120 per hour.
