When it comes to equipping our children for these adventures, we’ve learned valuable lessons, particularly in the realm of bikes. Our journey began with department store bikes, the kind that seemed “fine” at the time, but we soon realized that “fine” wasn’t enough.

Our eldest son’s first bike, a generic 16-inch model, was a product of budget constraints. It had the basic components – wheels, pedals, and a coaster brake – but that’s where the positives ended.
