Ancheer E Bike Troubles: Two New Bikes Won’t Turn On!

Hello e-bike community, I’m hoping someone can offer some advice on a frustrating issue I’m experiencing with two brand new Ancheer E Bikes. Just last week, I received two models – an Ancheer Sunshine and an Ancheer Blue Electric – from Amazon, mirroring purchases my mom made successfully a few months prior. However, my experience has been anything but smooth. After assembling and fully charging both bikes, neither will now power on. The batteries indicate a full charge with one red and three green lights, which, according to the information I have, suggests they should be ready to go. I’m at a loss and wondering if anyone has encountered a similar problem with their Ancheer e bike, or has any troubleshooting tips to share.

Initially, the first bike I assembled, the Sunshine model, seemed promising for a brief moment. It powered on after charging, but upon engaging the throttle for a test ride, it abruptly cut out after just a second of acceleration. Since then, it’s completely unresponsive – no lights, no throttle, no pedal assist – nothing. My first thought was a faulty battery.

The arrival of the Blue Electric bike the following day brought a glimmer of hope. Assembly and charging went smoothly, and it even performed wonderfully on its first ride. Noticing the batteries appeared identical across both models, I decided to do some battery swapping to diagnose the Sunshine’s issue. Placing the Blue Electric’s battery onto the Sunshine seemed to solve the initial problem; it powered on. Although I couldn’t road test it indoors, a stationary throttle test lifting the rear wheel seemed fine. I optimistically concluded the original Sunshine battery was defective.

However, this optimism was short-lived. Taking the Sunshine out for a proper test ride with the “good” battery resulted in the exact same failure as before – power cut out immediately after throttle engagement, and then complete unresponsiveness. To further isolate the problem, I tried the “good” battery back on the Blue Electric, and it worked perfectly. This led me to suspect a motor or meter issue with the Sunshine itself.

The real shock came the next day. After fully recharging both batteries, I attempted to use the “bad” battery on the Blue Electric to confirm the battery’s fault and solidify that the Sunshine was the sole problem bike. As expected, the Blue Electric wouldn’t turn on with the suspect battery. But here’s the unbelievable part: when I reinstalled the “good” battery onto the Blue Electric, it also now failed to power on!

Now, inexplicably, both my brand new Ancheer e bikes are completely dead. I’ve meticulously checked and reconnected all wiring connections, ensuring they are secure. I haven’t found any signs of corrosion or visible damage. Has anyone in the community experienced such a bizarre and seemingly contagious issue with their Ancheer e bike? Could the problems of one bike somehow spread to the other? It seems absurd, but I’m struggling to find any other explanation.

I’ve contacted the seller through Amazon and am communicating with them, albeit slowly due to time zone differences. They’ve requested videos documenting the issues, which I’ve provided. They suggested a possible meter problem on the Sunshine, but haven’t offered concrete troubleshooting steps for either bike. I even considered testing my mom’s battery on my bikes, but I’m now hesitant, fearing I might somehow “corrupt” her working battery too!

If anyone has any insights, diagnostic tips, or has overcome a similar “no power” situation with their Ancheer e bike, your advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to get these bikes running and any help would be a lifesaver.
