Morning Activities & Vendor Booths
7:30 a.m. is the official start time, with check-in opening and a vibrant array of activities and vendor booths ready for you to explore. Immerse yourself in the cycling spirit by visiting the bike decorating station to personalize your bike, helmet, and gear. Kids and adults alike can enjoy free face painting to add an extra splash of fun to the day.
Guided 7.8-Mile Ride
At 8:30 a.m. sharp, the main event begins – a guided 7.8-mile bike ride led by the Chandler Police Bike Team. Cyclists will embark on a scenic journey north along the Paseo Canal, reaching Tibshraeny Park before returning to the starting point. This route is designed to be enjoyable for families and riders of all abilities.
Post-Ride Fun
After completing the bike ride, cool down and celebrate your accomplishment with a complimentary Kona Ice treat! It’s the perfect way to end a refreshing morning of cycling and community engagement.
Virtual Ride Option
Can’t make it to the Paseo Trail in person on the event day? No problem! You can still participate in the Family Bike Ride virtually anytime between April 5th and 13th. Enjoy a bike ride in your own neighborhood, a local park, or any favorite cycling spot with your friends and family. Virtual riders who pre-register will also receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last, so don’t miss out!
Registration & Safety
Pre-registration is required for all participants to ensure a smooth and organized event. While we encourage creativity and fun decorations, safety is our utmost priority. All riders are required to wear helmets and are asked to adhere to traffic laws and stay well-hydrated throughout their bike ride.
