Zach, our client, approached us at our bike shop in Boston in August with a vision: a versatile gravel/all-road bike capable of handling diverse terrains with style and grace. After exploring several options and test riding various models, the @allcitycycles Cosmic Stallion emerged as the perfect canvas. Zach envisioned a build that was not only high-performing but also a visual masterpiece, a “bicycle jewelry” piece with a unique “fluffy marshmallow” theme. We embraced the challenge and set out to create something truly special at our bike shop in Boston.
To bring the marshmallow dream to life, we selected hand-built @whiteind hubs laced to @velocityusa rims, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability. For tires, we chose the incredibly supple and cloud-like @ultradynamico, perfectly capturing the desired theme. Matching White Industries cranks further enhanced the cohesive aesthetic. A curated selection of silver components from @simworksusa and @nitto_handlebar_works added timeless elegance, punctuated by subtle blue accents for a touch of modern sophistication. This harmonious blend of classic and contemporary components is a hallmark of our builds at our bike shop in Boston.
To ensure modern performance, we incorporated the exceptional @sramroad Rival XPLR drivetrain with hydraulic brakes, offering smooth and precise shifting and braking power. @timepedals, our preferred choice for their reliability and performance, were selected.
