For years, I’d admired Canfield Bikes, with the Jedi downhill bike always topping my wish list. Despite owning long travel and DH bikes from mainstream brands, the Jedi held a special allure. Taking a leap of faith, I purchased it without a test ride, relying on extensive online research. The thought of “never meet your hero’s” crossed my mind, but thankfully, my experience has been nothing short of exceptional.
Paired with the Öhlins shock and Manitou Dorado fork, this bike operates on a different plane. Spending 2-3 days a week at various bike parks throughout the season, and clocking hundreds of miles on the Jedi this year, I can confidently say it’s like enabling cheat codes for any trail. The bike’s performance is truly remarkable. It launches off jumps with incredible balance, maintains grip on virtually any surface, and effortlessly bulldozes through rough sections and rock gardens.
My satisfaction with the Jedi’s performance is immense. It genuinely feels like it’s in a league of its own compared to other downhill bikes I’ve ridden. There’s an intangible quality to how a bike feels that transcends geometry charts and component specifications, and the Jedi has that dialed-in feel perfectly.
Beyond the bike itself, my experience with Canfield Bikes has been outstanding from beginning to end. Their customer service is truly top-notch. Shipping was prompt, and they accommodated my requests to swap out cranks and forks within the order. They even went the extra mile by pressing in my headset before shipping. My positive experience has me seriously considering transitioning my trail bike and enduro bike setups to Canfield Bikes in the future.
