Teenager Killed in Warrenville Dirt Bike Accident, Hit-and-Run Under Investigation

WARRENVILLE, SC – A Warrenville family is grieving the loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Faith Williams, who tragically died in a Dirt Bike Accident on Friday night. The incident occurred along Augusta Road and involves a possible hit-and-run, adding layers of complexity to the already heartbreaking situation.

Faith’s father, Michael Irvin, shared his memories of his daughter, describing her as “a very beautiful person, had a very big heart, and she loved to make people happy.” Speaking less than a day after the devastating event, Mr. Irvin poignantly added, “And she loved to make herself look beautiful, because she was.”

The circumstances surrounding Faith’s death remain unclear. Investigators are working to determine if she succumbed to injuries from the dirt bike accident itself, which propelled her onto Augusta Road, or if she was fatally struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene.

According to reports, the dirt bike, with Faith as a passenger, was traveling north on the sidewalk of the 1600 block of Augusta Road around 6:20 p.m. The dirt bike reportedly hit a mailbox, causing both occupants to fall onto Augusta Road. Simultaneously, a vehicle traveling southbound on Augusta Road hit something in the vicinity. The driver of this vehicle did not stop and left the scene, compounding the tragedy with a hit-and-run element.

Authorities are actively investigating whether the vehicle struck Faith after the initial dirt bike accident or hit another object nearby. Aiken County Coroner Darry Ables has ordered an autopsy in Newberry to ascertain the precise cause of death, crucial for understanding the full sequence of events in this dirt bike accident and potential hit-and-run.

Regardless of the autopsy findings, the family is devastated by their sudden loss. “She will be missed,” her father expressed, encapsulating the profound grief. “It’s hard. There’s nothing else you can say about it. It’s hard.” He remembered Faith as a selfless and kind-hearted child, always willing to help others without expecting anything in return.

In their anguish, the family is appealing to the public for assistance in locating the vehicle involved in the potential hit-and-run. Mr. Irvin described the vehicle as light-colored and likely to have damage to its front right corner and right side. He urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the police, hoping to bring some clarity and closure to the agonizing questions surrounding this dirt bike accident.

“If anybody knows anything or has seen anything… please contact police and help us find who did this to our baby girl,” Mr. Irvin pleaded, highlighting the desperate need for answers in the wake of this tragic dirt bike accident. He concluded, “She was loved. She was a loving person. Just a great kid in a bad situation – wrong place, wrong time.”

The community is urged to assist the authorities in their investigation into this fatal dirt bike accident and possible hit-and-run, as the family seeks justice and understanding in their time of immense sorrow.
