I’m Ravi, CEO of Zen Electric Bikes, and like many in the e-bike world, I’ve been closely following the situation with Juiced Bikes. It’s not about taking advantage of another company’s misfortune; it’s about preventing well-loved and capable Juiced E Bikes from becoming unusable due to a lack of parts and support. My connection to Juiced Bikes goes back many years. I first met Tora, the founder of Juiced Bikes, at Interbike in 2014, when he was focused on ODK Cargo bikes. Even then, his passion for electric bikes was evident, mirroring my own as I was immersed in my PhD studies. We stayed in touch, and I even facilitated connections for him with key retailers. Our collaboration evolved, and by 2016, we were brainstorming ideas that contributed to the development of the Cross-Current X model. Following my PhD, I established Zen Electric Bikes in Canada, building a company centered around quality e-bikes and battery technology. We’ve developed a strong supply chain and partnered with leading manufacturers like Bafang – a key supplier for Juiced Bikes as well. This positions us to confidently offer UL-2271 certified batteries, authentic Bafang motors, and other vital components like controllers and sensors to the Juiced Bikes community.
