An unusual feature of this set is the inclusion of two stands. Firstly, there’s the display stand, complete with a detailed information plaque, constructed in bag two. However, the final construction step in bag five is a white paddock stand that supports the bike’s rear tire. This second stand feels somewhat redundant. It’s unclear why LEGO opted for two stands instead of focusing on a single, superior option. For most, the paddock stand will likely remain unused.

Regarding whether the LEGO Technic 42130 BMW M 1000 RR is better suited for play or display, it undoubtedly leans towards the latter. While it incorporates moving elements like rotating wheels and functional pistons, offering a degree of interactivity, its weight and complexity make it unsuitable for typical children’s play, beyond perhaps spinning the wheels. This is definitively a model designed for display, and it will make a stunning addition to any collection or shelf.

What you do receive is the largest LEGO motorcycle ever created (to date), and a remarkable set that will undoubtedly capture attention when displayed.
