It has taken me years to finally write this review, but my experience with Quietkat Bikes, specifically the Apex model, warrants sharing. From day one, owning a new Apex e-bike turned into a frustrating ordeal due to a critical flaw: the battery life. It consistently died within a mere 10 to 30 minutes of use.
Naturally, my first course of action was to contact QuietKat’s customer service. Over the years, I estimate reaching out between 3 to 4 times by phone and 4 to 5 times via email, meticulously documenting each email as evidence. I even received assurances that the issue would be “resolved,” promises that were consistently followed by silence. Despite my repeated follow-ups via calls and emails, escalated attempts to get help yielded absolutely nothing.
As someone deeply familiar with machinery and tools, I understand that products can have defects. I’m not one to complain without reason, but in this case, the lack of support after purchasing a premium-priced product that failed immediately is simply unacceptable. Years of waiting for a resolution have led me to finally give up. This review is my last attempt to address this issue, and to warn other potential buyers about my experience with QuietKat bikes.
Ironically, my own DIY bike creations have proven far more reliable and cost-effective. I’ve also come across positive reviews for electric bikes from other companies, making Quiet Kat’s performance and customer service even more baffling. Imagine buying a top-of-the-line truck only for the engine to die the next day – you’d expect immediate action. My QuietKat Apex has become nothing more than an expensive paperweight in my garage. Perhaps harnessing a donkey to pull it would be more productive than relying on its faulty battery.
To call their customer support “poor” would be an understatement; it is essentially non-existent. The warranty that comes with a new, expensive bike is utterly meaningless in my experience. While I cannot recommend QuietKat bikes or speak to who offers the best hunting e-bikes with superior service, I can confidently say QuietKat sits firmly at the bottom of my list. Consider this a serious heads-up if you are considering QuietKat bikes – if you encounter any issues, you might be on your own. My experience with the Quiet Kat Apex bike has been deeply disappointing, and I strongly advise potential buyers to proceed with extreme caution.
