Understanding Lost, Late, or Damage Fees:

  • Late Bike Return Fee: Bikes must be returned to the Parking Office by 2:45 p.m. on the due date. Late returns incur a fee of $20 for the first day and $30 for each subsequent day. These fees will initially be deducted from your security deposit. If the bike is more than two days late, late fees will continue to accumulate.
  • Lost Bike Fee: In the event a bike is lost, you will forfeit your security deposit and be responsible for the FULL replacement cost of the bike, which is $650.
  • Lost Key or Lock Fee: A $35 fee will be charged to cover the replacement cost of the locking system if the key or lock is lost.
  • Damage Due to Bike Misuse: You will be responsible for covering the cost of parts and labor for any damage resulting from misuse of the rental bike.
