Are you passionate about cycling or simply looking to keep your bike in top condition? The Bike Lab offers free informal workshops for everyone interested in learning and sharing knowledge about basic bike maintenance and repairs. Join us at 12 Northern Ave, Northampton, MA on Feb 15th, 2025 and March 1st, and continuing biweekly on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Whether you’re puzzled by a flat tire, confused about gears, need help with bike fit or brake adjustments, or are dealing with mysterious squeaks and creaks, The Bike Lab is the perfect place for you. We can tackle problems together, covering everything from assembling a bike to understanding scooters, trikes, garden carts, walkers, wagons, and even ebikes. We also discuss safe cycling practices in traffic and cold weather conditions.
We provide tools and a collection of mostly used parts to assist you. Bring your bike if you have one, or if you’re in need of a bike, we can help you fix one up. If you have a working or partly working bike or spare parts to donate, please get in touch with Ruthy to ensure we can accommodate your donation. Donations can often be dropped off during Bike Lab hours, or contact Ruthy to arrange an alternative time. If you’re keen to join The Bike Lab or volunteer to help others with their bikes but have schedule constraints, please also reach out to Ruthy.
Contact Ruthy via call or text at 413-341-2522 or email Ruthy.
Need a bike? We have a selection ready to be restored. If Ruthy is unavailable, contact Bikes For All at [email protected].
Have a bike to donate? While our storage is somewhat limited, we will gladly make space for donations we can’t refuse, such as functional hybrid or mountain bikes (non-department store quality), tools, quality components, 700c rear wheels, tires, pedals, seats, derailleurs, panniers, racks, and lights. Your generosity is appreciated!
