The initial step involves attaching the included rack (available in models compatible with both disc and non-disc brakes) using four simple bolts. This rack is specifically designed for the Topeak BabySeat II and intended exclusively for use with this seat. It features a distinctive round hole on top, which is integral to the seat’s locking mechanism.
The subsequent steps are remarkably easy. To mount the BabySeat, you first align and hook the front of the seat onto the front lip of the rack.
To secure the seat, slide the yellow locking mechanism into place from the side. When correctly inserted, a red button will protrude through the hole on Topeak’s custom rack, indicating secure attachment.
This mounting system is exceptionally streamlined; however, it may require a slight adjustment to your bike setup depending on your saddle height.
