Eagle Mountain Bike Park in Utah offers a fantastic network of trails for mountain biking enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting out, this park provides diverse terrain and scenic views. This guide will help you navigate to the trailheads and make the most of your ride at Eagle Mountain.
Getting to Eagle Mountain Bike Park
To reach Eagle Mountain Bike Park, start by taking the I-15 and exiting at Lehi Main Street. Turn west onto Main Street (SR-73) and continue heading west. You’ll cross Redwood Road (11600 West) as you proceed uphill on SR-73. Shortly after cresting the hill, turn left at the traffic light onto The Ranches Parkway.
Trailhead Access Points
Eagle Mountain Bike Park is accessible via several trailheads, each offering access to different trail networks. Here’s a breakdown of the main access points:
Hidden Hollow Trailhead
From The Ranches Parkway, continue until you reach Pony Express Parkway and turn right. The road will curve slightly south (left) and then back west (right). About one mile from Ranches Parkway, and just after passing a prominent hill on your left and before reaching Hidden Hollow Elementary School, turn left again. The Hidden Hollow trailhead, a large paved area, is located about 1/4 mile uphill on your left. Be aware that this trailhead is currently undergoing development to become a full-service area, and construction may be ongoing. From Hidden Hollow, you can easily connect to trails like Rock-a-Billy via a short connector, or cross the road to the west to access Given to Fly, Cracker Jack, Creed, or I-15 trails.
Race Loop (Rockpile) Parking
Important 2022 Note: Access to the Race Loop parking may be impacted by construction. While efforts are being made to maintain access, it might occasionally be blocked. If driving through the construction area is not possible, you will need to ride in from Pony Express Parkway or use the dirt road (OHV route 1) from the west.
To reach the Race Loop parking, turn south onto Pony Express Parkway and drive uphill past Hidden Hollow Elementary. When the paved road ends, continue straight southbound through the construction zone. Drive approximately one mile up the dirt road. Once you reach the top of a small rise and see a valley ahead, the rockpile will be on your left. Parking is available in the primitive open space just south of the rockpile. From this parking area, Deer Tracks trail is located west (across the dirt road), Cow Tracks is at the northeast corner, and dirt roads to the east and south connect to additional singletrack trails in the area.
Mountain Ranch Bike Park Trailhead
To access the Mountain Ranch Bike Park trailhead, follow the directions towards The Ranches Parkway from I-15 and Lehi Main Street. Stay on The Ranches Parkway as it narrows and winds. When you reach a T-intersection at the end of The Ranches Parkway, turn right onto Golden Eagle Road. Drive for about 1/3 of a mile and look for the trail kiosk on your left. Park near the kiosk to begin your ride, heading south uphill into the Mountain Ranch Bike Park trail system.
