Our Humble Beginnings
Jb Bike Shop started with a clear and focused vision: to excel in selling and servicing bikes, and nothing else. Originating as JB Mountain Bikes in a modest garage in Shillington, PA, our initial focus was strictly on mountain bikes. As a specialized, high-end custom bike builder, our reputation quickly spread, making us the go-to source for mountain bike enthusiasts throughout southeastern PA and beyond. We became known for our expertise and comprehensive selection in the mountain biking community.
Evolving into a Full-Service Bicycle Shop
While mountain biking remains at our core, we naturally expanded our offerings over the years to cater to all cycling disciplines. Recognizing that our customers, and ourselves, enjoy road biking, cyclocross, and various other forms of cycling, we broadened our scope to become a comprehensive, full-service bike shop. This evolution allowed us to meet the diverse cycling needs of our growing customer base.
By 2017, JB’s Bike Shop had relocated and expanded our showroom multiple times to accommodate an ever-increasing inventory of bikes, accessories, and gear. This growth culminated in a name change to JB’s Bike Shop, accompanied by a new logo, but with the same commitment to expert customer service and sales that our customers have relied on for over 20 years. Serving the Reading, PA region, we continue to uphold our founding principles.
