I’m Ravi, CEO of Zen Electric Bikes, and like many in the e-bike world, I have been following the situation at Juiced Bikes with concern. We believe in the longevity and sustainability of electric bikes, and seeing Juiced owners potentially stranded without support is something we want to address. It’s not about capitalizing on another company’s misfortune; it’s about ensuring that well-loved electric bikes continue to serve their owners and promote the broader adoption of e-bikes. Zen Electric Bikes is committed to providing Juiced Bikes riders with access to essential components, including batteries, motors, and controllers.

My connection with Juiced Bikes goes back many years. I first met Tora Harris, the founder of Juiced Bikes, at Interbike in 2014 when he was pioneering the ODK Cargo bikes. Even then, his dedication to e-bikes was clear, something I deeply resonated with as I was pursuing my PhD and equally passionate about this emerging mode of transport. Our shared enthusiasm led to a continuing dialogue, and I even facilitated connections for him with key retailers like Crazy Lenny’s in Madison. By 2016, we were brainstorming ideas that contributed to the development of the Cross-Current X, a model that became a hallmark of the Juiced Bikes lineup.

After completing my PhD, I moved to Canada and founded Zen Electric Bikes, focusing on building high-quality e-bikes and batteries. Over the years, we have established a strong supply chain and partnered with leading manufacturers like Bafang, who also supplied motors to Juiced Bikes. This robust infrastructure now allows us to extend support to Juiced Bikes owners by offering UL-2271-certified batteries, genuine Bafang motors, and other crucial components like controllers and sensors.
